  1. As usual, this is a beautiful post! I looked up Melissanthi and didn’t find "Symposium" but I did find other titles. This seems like a sort of Macbeth type of verse, "Witches and screaming shrews set their table…" sort of like "Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble." Of course, I might’ve missed the point, entirely…but, maybe not! 😉

  2. Thank you for the good wishes! But, I have to say, there are so many expectations riding on our new president – he’s made a good start of some of these expectations and on others, he’s making it clear that these won’t work (a job creation program that excludes women?). We’ll see how his term as president pans out. You almost have to wonder if, on the day after the election results became final, he didn’t have a change of heart about wanting to be president; "I’ve changed my mind! I don’t want the job anymore…" LOL One thing I didn’t understand was, at the bottom of this poem, (Flaming Bush).

  3. Stephen Colbert…hahahahaha…I hadn’t thought of that – "Flaming Bush", "Flaming George Dubbya." He was a ‘flamer’ alright! Actually, that’s pretty funny too. When I saw that in parenthesis down at the bottom, I thought that maybe I’d misunderstood the poem, as you and I both know I do! 😉
